“I think my time in Haifa (Spring 2017) continues to be one of the best decisions I’ve made in life because it really allowed me to learn about the meaning of community. Haifa, as a city is as diverse as it gets! When looking at study abroad programs I knew I wanted to be in Israel, but also find a city that supported my needs on and off campus. Communities can be found when you least expect them, and as a volunteer coordinator with the National Park Service, I pride myself on being able to give my volunteers a safe place to gather and express themselves. I have to give credit to my time in Haifa for helping me reach that place.”
